Canadian Forces Snowbirds

We are very pleased that the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will return to Waterloo during their 2012 season. Their incredible 9-plane aerial aerobatics will dazzle audiences of all ages. Stick around for autographs after their show!

CF18 Demo Team

To embody the theme "The True North Strong and Free", this year's CF18 Demonstration Team will display tail and dorsal art featuring 13 distinctive snowflakes representing Canada's provinces and territories, as well as the 13 Wings across the country. Piloted by Capt. Patrick "Paco" Gobeil.

Joint Forces Demonstration

Featuring the combined efforts of the RCAF and the Canadian Army, the Joint Forces Demonstration will give spectators a firsthand view of the interoperability found in today's Canadian Forces. Camouflaged soldiers will arrive on scene in G Wagons and a CH-146 Griffon Helicopter, while a CF-18 Hornet will maintain air superiority and provide Close Air Support during the demonstration. All this with complete thundering pyrotechnics!!

CF-18

Every year, the Air Force selects a special group of people to make up the CF-18 Demonstration Team. These individuals are hand-picked for their superior performance and dedication to excellence. Without the hard work of each and every team member, the CF-18 Demonstration Jet would never get off the ground.

Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association

From just down the highway in Tillsonburg, the 4-plane Harvard Formation Team will join us once again in Waterloo. These WWII workhorses are probably the best known training aircraft of all time. Several generations have thrilled to their unforgettable roar. Say hello to the volunteer pilots who pay tribute to our veterans every time they take to the skies.

Red Bull Pilot Pete McLeod

In 2009, Canada's Pete McLeod made history by becoming the youngest pilot and first Canadian to compete in the elite Red Bull Air Race World Championship. In 2010, he captured an impressive 5th place finish. In Waterloo, Pete and his Zivko Edge 540 will perform an aggressive, action-packed, low-level show.

Otto the Helicopter

OTTO The Helicopter is one of the most unique and versatile air show acts in the world. OTTO and his pilot put on a great comedy show that entertains the crowds by blowing bubbles, playing with his yo-yo, racing around barrels and picking them up, shooting smoke in all directions, towing banners, and more. The kids will love him!

Jet Aircraft Museum

The Jet Aircraft Museum in London, Ontario will showcase one of its six T-33 Silver Stars. This Mako Shark’s paint scheme mimics the original Mako Shark of 1992 which was created as a tribute to VU32 Squadron, a Royal Canadian Navy utility squadron that was disbanded after a 46-year history.

Corsair, from Vintage Wings of Canada

From Vintage Wings of Canada in Gatineau, Quebec comes the Goodyear FG-1D Corsair, largely considered the most capable of all carrier-based fighter aircraft of WWII. With its distinctive bent wings, Corsairs served well in the South Pacific, and onward into the Korean War.

 Canadian Forces Parachute Team the SkyHawks

This elite demonstration team has proven that with the proper training unbelievable things can be accomplished under parachute.

Wayne Hadath F1 Rocket

Kitchener resident Wayne Hadath will display his home-built F1 Rocket -- a racing aircraft he calls "Little Bit" -- because every time someone asked him how his project was coming along, he simply replied, "A little big longer." Little Bit can reach speeds of 275mph.  Wayne and Little Bit flew to a 1st place finishes in last year's prestigious Air Venture Cup and in his class of the Sport Racing League.

Royal Canadian Air Cadets

Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a Canadian national youth program for persons aged 12 to 18. It is administered by the Canadian Forces (CF) and funded through the Department of National Defence (DND) with additional support from the civilian Air Cadet League of Canada (ACL).
